Primeros is the oldest registered condom brand in Europe. It was founded in Prague in 1909 by Gustav Schwarzwald, a Jewish entrepreneur. The graphic concept for the Primeros packaging received recognition at the Red Dot Design Award, while the brand’s visual identity, inspired by queer culture, was also honored with the annual Czech Grand Design Awards.

First, careful research, comparison, and analysis of the original logo variations were necessary. This was followed by defining the ideal proportions and focusing on ambiguous and problematic aspects of the drawing, character connections, and individual details. Only then was it possible to proceed with drawing the individual characters and the complete wordmark.
